Flying Scatteredness

Flying Scatteredness

In the scatteredness of happiness
beauty flies softly feathered, but

some brains seem
organic computers
for orderliness
for power plays
and staging

Synapse spiders
catch butterfly scatterbrains
as if they were flies with color,
as if they wore
no softness, or
feeling wings, a
software of the soul flapping wildly
too unfocused to stop war, because

when the lion eats the baby
children buy guns

but some brains
are neither
animals nor computers, for

beauty flies softly feathered
in the scattteredness of happiness,
waiting for the plume that
jams the machine
