Farerne ved oversættelse med en computer

Dyd er virtuel i en computer,
der måler den moralske værdi
af en orm eller ormehul,
der skifter model moralsk
som datapunkter til orden for mennesker.

Det viser sig at være interessant, men forkert. Dette er den originale engelske, som jeg ønskede at sige:
Virtue is virtual in a computer
that measures the moral value
of a worm or wormhole
whose squiggles model morals
as data points of order for humans.

There’s a problem here because I don’t want to use the hyphens for “point-of-order” because I want both the “data points” as a separate entity and the allusion to a “point-of-order” that happens in a legislative hearing.

Up and back with Google translate I looked for better synonyms. It doesn’t exactly warn you when it gives up on an English word and just uses it as is, or decides you want a verb instead of a noun etc. Anyway, it does a lot of guessing and appears to often use the wrong synonym in a set of meanings.

Dyd er virtuel i en computer,
der måler den moralske værdi
af en orm eller ormehul,
der skifter model moralsk
som data punkter-af-ordre for mennesker.

Virtue is virtual in a computer,
It measures the moral value
of a worm or wormhole,
There is a change of model moral
as data points-of-order for people.

Oh I just noticed that I’ve lost my “squiggle”
and I want “that” not “it”.

Dyd er virtuel i en computer,
fordi måler den moralske værdi
af en orm eller ormehul,
der krusedulle model moralsk
som data punkter-af-ordre for mennesker.

Oh hell, new problems
