The Twirl
    by Douglas Gilbert

I lost her in the tornado;
now I’m lonely, twisted and cold

been lost before though

been waiting for her to fall from the sky;
you can’t tell me that she can’t fly

I lost her in the tornado;
now I’m twisted up in a knot

Been spun though before and
been waiting; been waiting so long
longing her in my storminess

Lost her in a twister
been waiting for her to fall from the sky

I may be twisted but
you can’t tell me she can’t fly
